The static pass box is not equipped with proper ventilation, assuming the same classification of the environment in which it is placed. Featuring passive contamination control measures, such as airtight seals and HEPA filtration, the static pass box utilizes unidirectional airflow to prevent particles or microorganisms from entering or exiting the cleanroom.
GMP Annex 1 is the EU standard for “The Manufacture of Sterile Medicinal Products”. The manufacture of sterile products is subject to special requirements in order to minimize risks of microbiological, particulate and pyrogen contamination.
